WWE Superstar Ronda Rousey has been in the headlines since being betrayed by her close friend, Shayna Baszler, at MITB 2023. After her betrayal at the PLE, speculations about Rousey’s WWE exit have been circulating rapidly on the internet.
It is being reported that Ronda will be fighting against her former partner, Shayna Baszler, at SummerSlam 2023. This match is supposed to be her last in the company before her WWE departure.
As Rousey’s WWE departure gets closer, there have been reports about Ronda potentially making a return to the UFC. It must be noted that before joining WWE, Ronda was a force to be reckoned with in the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
Ronda’s UFC return news looks certain, due to a recently shared tweet related to the UFC. It was a “DraftKings ad for #UFC290“, and this has made the chances of Rousey’s UFC return even more realistic. Check out how some of the fans reacted to Rousey’s potential UFC return:
I would respect the comeback hardcore, but unless they hand her a cupcake, she ain’t fightin’

It won’t go well. Talent level has risen since she dominated

She’s getting slept if she comes back to the UFC. The game has evolved

The fact that a Ronda Rousey return to the UFC is even being rumored, shows just how bad of a state the women’s 135lbs division is in.

She sucks. She won’t be missed. If she returns to ufc, she will get knocked out again and then cry for 3 years

Respectfully, if she returns she’s going to get embarrassed. The sport moved past her when she retired the first time and it’s MILES ahead of her now. Spamming arm bars won’t get you anywhere anymore.

Rumors about Rousey’s potential UFC return have excited MMA fans to watch her make a return to the octagon. However, some of the fans don’t think Ronda is good enough to make a UFC return any more. Whether she returns to the UFC or not will become clearer in the upcoming weeks.
What is Ronda Rousey’s UFC record?
The former UFC star has an impressive record with 12 Wins in 14 matches. Out of her 12 Wins, three came through knockouts, and the other nine were through submissions. Ronda was also a part of the UFC’s first-ever female fight at UFC 157.
Rousey was the inaugural Women’s Bantamweight Champion in the UFC and successfully defended the title in six fights. She lost the title to Holly Holm at UFC 193 on November 15, 2015, which was her seventh title defense.
After staying away from the UFC for over a year, Ronda returned to face champion Amanda Nunes in the main event at UFC 207. However, she lost the fight in the very first round via TKO. Following this loss, Ronda retired in 2016 and was the first-ever female fighter to be inducted into the UFC’s Hall of Fame in 2018.
As discussions surrounding Rousey’s UFC return are ongoing, it would be interesting to see if she actually returns. Who can be Ronda’s possible opponents upon her return, or will she go straight away for the vacant 135-pound title? The possibilities are many, but only time will give answers to all such questions!
