The visionary revealed in an interview that he colored his hair because he wanted to stand out from other superstars. When he arrived at WWE developmental, Rollins stood out as a highly talented candidate; however, it wasn’t enough. The former Shield member was shown a picture of himself in an interview with WWE.
“At the time there were so many guys in FCW who had long, dark hair and beard, and so I just wanted to do something to change it up, to stand out, you know, what’s it gonna hurt to just color half my hair and see what happens – and it worked!” said Rollins.
In the interview, he revealed that there were a lot of guys with big black hair and beard in the FCW, thus, he required something else to stand out and look different from other superstars. Hence, he decided to dye his hair.
