SUMMARY
- Dwayne Johnson will reportedly take on Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40.
- However, Johnson is facing a severe backlash as fans wanted Cody Rhodes to finish his story.
Dwayne Johnson is not the most popular figure in the professional wrestling world at the moment. The 4-time former WWE champion is currently in talks to face Roman Reigns in the WrestleMania 40 main event. However, WWE fans have unanimously rejected the idea, as they wanted Cody Rhodes to finish his story.
Amid all the chatter, Logan Paul’s former opponent, Dillon Danis, has dug up some dirt on The Rock. Danis, who is famous for using a celebrity’s past to get under their skin, has now found a new avenue to target an $800 million-rich Hollywood superstar. And, perhaps the most interesting part is, that Danis is using one of John Cena’s nearly 12-year-old X posts to humiliate Johnson.
Dillon Danis uses an old post from John Cena to troll Dwayne Johnson
The post in question from John Cena is from February 19, 2012. At the time, Dwayne Johnson and the 16-time WWE champion were embroiled in a high-profile feud that’d eventually lead to their ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ showdown at WrestleMania 28. Hence, both Cena and The Rock took every possible chance to troll each other and build up excitement about the fight. In one such post on Twitter (now known as X), Cena made a major allegation.
Speaking about The Rock’s intimate life, Cena wrote, “No. Its not. I am proud of Dwayne. He has finally come to grips with his s*x addiction.”
No. Its not. I am proud of Dwayne. He has finally come to grips with his sex addiction.

While the match created many records and became the highest-selling WWE PPV ever at the time. While many expected John Cena to win the match, fans were shocked when Johnson came out victorious at the grandest stage of them all. It also had a strain on their working relationship as Cena and Dwayne had developed a personal dislike for each other as well.
During his recent appearance on Logan Paul’s “IMPAULSIVE” podcast, the 46-year-old ‘Bumblebee’ star added that he regretted his actions during their rivalry. And, as for Dillon Danis, there is no explanation behind him digging up accusations about The Rock. As fans know, he is a vicious troll and the BJJ maestro perhaps wants to echo the public sentiment about the ‘Fast and Furious’ star right now. However, after a while, Danis deleted the retweet from his account.
Dwayne Johnson apparently flexed his TKO power to replace Cody Rhodes
Dwayne Johnson is currently a functioning member of the TKO board. Not only does he hold TKO shares worth $30,000,000, but Johnson also reportedly has creative powers in the company as well. If a recent PWInsider report is to be believed, the 51-year-old’s creative calls may have more credibility in the TKO hierarchy than Triple H’s.
One example of it is Dwayne reportedly pushing Cody Rhodes out of the way to book himself against Roman Reigns in the WrestleMania 40 main event. Apparently, The Rock not only wanted to face “The Tribal Chief,“ but he was also pushing to come out victorious in the match as well. While one of the reports has been confirmed by the WWE, fan sentiment is certainly working against the movie star.
The backlash had become so severe that Dwayne’s interaction with Roman Reigns in the latest episode of SmackDown has become the most disliked WWE video on YouTube. Cody Rhodes has also trended highly on X as fans vehemently opposed Dwayne facing Reigns despite “The American Nightmare” winning the Royal Rumble. As per reports, Rhodes is now slated to face Seth Rollins at the upcoming WrestleMania in April.
