Dillon Danis is undeniably a prominent figure, and the UFC is pondering the prospect of adding him to their roster. However, Dana White is skeptical, as he believes that incorporating Danis may come with more challenges than benefits.
Despite achieving significant notoriety in the combat sports realm with relatively few fights, Danis, also known as “El Jefe,” faced a swift exit from Bellator after a brief stint that included a venture into boxing earlier this year. The speculation surrounding his potential signing with the UFC has intensified following his departure from Bellator and the attention garnered by his boxing match against Logan Paul.

Nevertheless, White harbors reservations about the potential ramifications of bringing the controversial fighter into the promotion. “I have no beef with the kid at all; I’ve probably said two words to him in my whole life. But every time he’s around, s***’s going down. We can’t have that stuff going on here,” said the UFC boss on the Full Send Podcast.
Additionally, White also expressed that many fans think that the UFC loves controversies and stuff like that, but that is not the case, according to him. Danis’ list of exploits includes being involved in a cage side brawl after his teammate Conor McGregor was submitted by Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229, and his boxing debut against Paul in October also ended in a melee when “El Jefe” attempted to lock up a guillotine choke in the waning seconds of the fight.
Is Dillon Danis retired?
Dillon Danis has declared his ‘retirement‘ from boxing following a single match against Logan Paul, emphatically stating that he is finished with the sport. The bout, which took place last month on the undercard of Tommy Fury vs. KSI, concluded in a disqualification for Danis as he employed jiu-jitsu maneuvers, leading to a chaotic scene in the ring.
The unorthodox nature of his fighting style sparked a massive brawl. The conclusion marked the end of a contentious lead-up to the fight, during which Danis engaged in daily verbal taunts aimed at his opponent’s fiancee, Nina Agdal, on social media.
I’m done with fighting. I’m retired. Love you all.

Having recently been let go of his Bellator MMA contract, Danis was aiming to secure a deal with the UFC. In a recent interview on The MMA Hour, he expressed a preference to retire rather than accept a fight offer on Dana White’s Contender Series.
Danis has faced significant backlash from fans following the fight for not delivering on his promise to knock out Paul, despite weeks of consistent taunting leading up to the bout. Criticism has been directed at his behavior, particularly for his ongoing attacks on Agdal. This includes sharing a video in which the Danish model discusses her intimate desires.
