With the Nitto ATP Finals set to begin, Russian star Daniil Medvedev is ready to set the stage on fire. He is quite familiar with the intensity of the tournament since he won it himself in 2020. Medvedev is a popular figure within the tennis fraternity. His daughter, Alisa, just realized that too.
Medvedev is in Turin for the prestigious year-end championship. He has drawn Carlos Alcaraz, Andrey Rublev, and Alexander Zverev into the Red Group. The former champion will battle it out with the best for a spot in the semifinals.
Medvedev’s wife, Daria Medvedeva, and their daughter, Alisa, joined Daniil in Turin recently. There was an adorable moment with little Alisa, though. She was positively surprised to see a huge poster of her father, and she stopped when she recognized him.

Daniil Medvedev has had a good season so far. He has made deep runs at tournaments and even reached the finals of the US Open before losing to Novak Djokovic. He will want to go all the way this time too, especially with his wife and daughter cheering for him.
Daniil Medvedev vs Andrey Rublev match preview
The two Russian stars are set to lock horns in the Round Robin match on November 13th. It will be the second match of the Red Group and one that promises to deliver excitement.
Daniil has been very impressive this season, with a 64-16 record. He has won five titles this year alone and will want a repeat of 2020 when he won the ATP Finals. However, he crashed out of the Paris Masters in the first round last week and will try to rectify his shortcomings in Turin.
Rublev has also had a good season, with a 56-23 record. He won two titles, including his first Masters 1000 at Monte Carlo earlier this year. Andrey will start his campaign on the back of his Paris Masters loss to Novak Djokovic.
Daniil Medvedev and Andrey Rublev have played against each other eight times so far. Medvedev leads the matchups 6-2, with his wins coming on hardcourt. Can he keep up the streak in Turin? We will soon find out.
