UFC signee and undefeated fighter Sharaputdin Magomedov is already in deep trouble, it appears. Hailing from Makhachkala, Russia, the 29-year-old fighter apparently lost his cool during a grappling match recently. From what appears in the viral clip, ‘Shara Bullet‘ assaulted his grappling opponent after the end of their match.
Earlier this year, Magomedov signed with the UFC as one of the most recent in a run of stellar Dagestani prospects. The undefeated fighter is also known for his peculiar appearance. In recent years, he even had to undergo surgery in his right eye.
As Sharaputdin awaits his first Octagon outing, he’s been having stints in AMC Fight Nights and RCC. As part of keeping himself busy on the grappling mats, the Russian recently appeared at the ADCC Southeast Asia tournament in Bangkok. Unfortunately for Magomedov, he fell short in the match.

Followed by tapping to a heel hook, Sharaputdin immediately got back up to his feet and aggressively approached Jakub Bilko, his opponent. The verbal dispute soon turned physical as Sharaputdin kicked the Polish athlete in the thigh. Matsyek, a combat sports content creator has since provided Sharaputdin’s statement on the uneventful scene, saying it was an emotional reaction.
Sharaputdin Magomedov draws heat from the fans after his post-fight antics
Fans speculate Sharaputdin’s frustrations could have stemmed from his almost 6 months of layoff. He hasn’t competed since earning two victories within eight days in December. BJJ is a sport that has a strong foundation based on respect, for both opponents and the martial art itself. Thus, Sharaputdin’s incident hasn’t been well received by those in attendance and fans watching online.
Here are some fan reactions on the matter

Going by the above reactions, several fans are clearly not fond of how the Russian carried himself after his loss.
Sharaputdin Magomedov assaulted a civilian in the past
It is noteworthy that this isn’t the first time ‘Shara Bullet’ let his emotions get the best of him. Last year, Dagestani police investigated the 29-year-old for an alleged incident in a mall. Magomedov was caught on video assaulting a civilian after the latter displayed public affection with an alleged partner.
Despite several claims of the incident to be from June 2022, ‘Shara Bullet’ and officials confirmed the assault dates back to March of the same year. Footage from a shopping mall CCTV shows the undefeated fighter standing on an escalator behind a couple. Soon after, the 29-year-old steps forward after the couple share a kiss. The two men immediately square off once they reach the ground.
The other individual throws the first punch before the duo ends up on the ground having grappling exchanges. Several mall staff tries to intervene and break them up. While they did end up being separated, Magomedov was seemingly not done with him yet.

Additional footage from the mall’s door camera shows the UFC signee apparently awaiting the other individual to exit. As soon as the civilian comes around the corner, Sharaputdin drops him with a hard right hand. To make things worse, the UFC athlete stomps on his head.
The Russian has since stated that the disagreement occurred because he felt the couple’s behavior was inappropriate for a public space. He has also claimed to have made amends with the victim after reaching an understanding on the matter.
As per Prosports.kz, the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation qualified the actions of the duo as a “violation of public order.”
Who will Sharaputdin fight in his UFC debut?
The MMA world has often criticized the UFC for feeding veterans to up-and-coming hungry lions. Fans frowned upon the promotion when they booked Nate Diaz to face Khamzat Chimaev in the former’s final UFC fight.
Now, recent reports have sent fans into a frenzy again. At the time of his signing, fans expected him to make his debut in the middle of this year. The latest rumors confirm this assumption, for now. Sharaputdin Magomedov is reportedly set to face Derek Brunson at UFC 294.
The no. 8 ranked middleweight contender would be more than just a warm welcome for Sharaputdin. With a potential win, the undefeated fighter could easily enter the top 10 rankings right off the bat.

Brunson has recently suffered two consecutive losses, coming at the hands of Jared Cannonier and Dricus du Plessis. Both the losses occurred after Derek’s corner threw in the towel in the 2nd round. However, prior to these losses, the veteran was riding a 5-fight win streak which had placed him very close to the UFC gold at one point.
Sharaputdin has built a reputation for becoming one of the scariest fighters over the years. He sports a perfect record of 11-0 in his MMA career. And being a decade younger than Brunson, the Russian will likely have the speed and strength advantage.
