Sonya Deville is undoubtedly one of the most focused female wrestlers on the roster. Her unmatched charisma and overall personality make her a complete package. Sonya has been on the roster as a manager as well as a performer over the years.
Her promo segments and quite a notable rivalry with Mandy Rose have gained her a lot of followers. Though Deville is currently out of action due to injury, she is not on good terms in her personal life. It was reported in February 2023 that Sonya was arrested for unlawful possession of a weapon.
The good news for the former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion is that she has successfully resolved all the charges against her. She did so by completing a six-month pretrial intervention program, as reported by Courier Post. She was allowed entry into the program by the Superior Court Judge on May 25.

Despite having a bad start to the year with an unfortunate arrest, Sonya backed it up with her intervention program. She is looking forward to the new year with peace and looks forward to getting back inside the ring as soon as possible.
What were the charges made against Sonya Deville during her arrest?
Back in February 2023, Sonya Deville was accused of having a weapon with her in New Jersey. A valet called the police after spotting a gun inside her car at the Borgata Hotel. Deville only has a permit to have possession over a weapon in Florida, but not in New Jersey. She was charged with one count of unlawful weapon possession in the process.

In the meantime, Sonya Deville was last seen with Chelsea Green celebrating her Women’s Tag Team Title win. She is currently sidelined due to an ACL injury and has relinquished the Women’s Tag Team Titles in the process. Piper Niven handled the titles along with Chelsea Green but unfortunately lost the titles to Kayden Carter and Katana Chance on RAW.
While Sonya makes her way into a new year independent of all charges, she will surely try to return to the squared circle. By the looks of it, she will go for the titles she never lost and try to win the Women’s Tag Team Titles once again.
