Mathews said, “She said ‘Look, I spar guys all the time. I’ve rocked dudes I’ve been rocked.’ And then she goes ‘by one dude.’ And, she talking about this guy [Arturs Ahmetovs] obviously. She’s like ‘I felt this glove he took the padding out of his glove.’ She goes ‘You know what I did I went to my car I got my knife I came back in.’ She was going to go after the trainer that took the [padding out] she wasn’t going after the boxer.”
Upon hearing this, Edgar responded, “I think she’s kind of bullsh*t bro, right?”
The scenario between Shields and Ahmetovs has gotten heated up recently. During an interview, Shields claimed that she was knocked out by a male boxer after he had removed padding from his gloves. Ahmetovs took to Instagram to post the video of the knockout. Ahmetovs and his trainer defended themselves from Shields’ claims.
Arturs Ahmetovs’ trainer Derik Santos accused Claressa Shields of being “full of sh*t”
On Ahmetovs’ post, Santos commented, “She is full of shit they asked for help to spar why would we want to spar a women?”
In a long comment, Santos explained that the gloves’ padding was not tampered with. He claimed that Ahmetovs was asked to not hit her too hard. However, Shields apparently “started talking mad shit at him and fouling him to point she tripped him.” This led to Ahmetovs punching her and the following accusations.
