Since joining The Judgement Day in May 2022, Rhea Ripley’s WWE career has grown rapidly. From just being another female superstar on the roster, The Eradicator has now become the most dominant name in the Stamford-based promotion’s women’s division.
Rhea is the reigning WWE Women’s Champion and also enjoys an interesting on-screen romance angle with NXT North American Champion Dominik Mysterio. Not just through her on-screen appearances, but The Mami also grabs fans’ attention due to the interesting comments she makes outside of the ring.
This recently happened once again, as The Eradicator revealed that she wants to be the one to retire legendary WWE performer Edge. Ripley revealed this through a reply to a tweet by Just Talk Wrestling, as they asked, “Who should Edge’s final feud be against?” Replying to their tweet, the WWE Women’s Champion said, “Me“.
As soon as Rhea shared that she wants to retire the WWE legend, fans took note of the tweet and started talking about it. It must be noted that Edge has an interesting history with the female superstar, and it’ll be interesting to see if they ever cross paths in the future. Although a match between them is not possible, they can surely be involved in a mixed tag-team match or a storyline involving both of them.
Edge was the one who recruited Rhea Ripley for The Judgment Day
The Eradicator may have expressed her desire to retire The Rated R Superstar, but the interesting fact is that he was the one who recruited Rhea Ripley for Judgement Day. This happened back on May 8, 2022, at WrestleMania Backlash, as she appeared in a mask to help Edge defeat “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles.
On Raw after the event, Rhea was officially revealed as the latest member of the group by WWE legend, Edge. As The Rated R Superstar announced The Eradicator’s recruitment to his faction, Ripley revealed the reason why she joined The Judgement Day. Even though Edge recruited Rhea to the faction, their association wasn’t too long.
The Rated R Superstar was kicked out of the group, which was created by himself, on June 6, 2022, as Finn Balor was introduced as the latest member of the group. This betrayal started a feud between Edge and the heel faction, which continued for several months. Moreover, this feud again made the WWE legend a crowd favorite and helped Ripley and The Judgement Day become one of the most successful factions in recent years.
