WWE Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley is arguably the most popular female performer due to her on-screen heel persona. Alongside her character on weekly television, The Eradicator also generates heat through her cheap shots at other stars of the Stamford-based promotion via social media.
A similar incident happened very recently, as Rhea Ripley showed her interest in ending the career of WWE Hall of Famer Edge. As the Women’s champion shared this on her social media, fans took note of the tweet and started expressing their views over her comments about the Ultimate Opportunist.
The WWE universe didn’t just show their disappointment; a fan even warned Rhea by referring to the return of 14-time World Champion Randy Orton after Rhea’s comments. He claimed, “Dw randy orton will silence you as soon as he returns“. Check out some of the best responses to The Eradicator’s comments here:
A fan suggested, “Careful what you wish for“. “😂 Sorry you vs Randy Orton 😂,” a user wrote sarcastically. “You’re the only member of the judgment day he has yet to face, ” a WWE fan commented. (Via- X)
Looking at how fans have been responding after Rhea appeared concerned about closing Edge’s career, it’s obvious that they aren’t too happy with her comments. However, practically, The Eradicator’s comments don’t hold much value, as a match against the Ultimate Opportunist is not possible. It’ll be interesting to see whether they’ll ever cross paths in a future WWE storyline or not.
Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest turned on Edge kicking him out of Judgment Day
The Eradicator may have shown her interest in ending the Rated R Superstar’s career very recently, but their rivalry is a bit old. They have been on odd terms ever since Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest turned on Edge to kick him out of The Judgement Day.
This happened over a year ago during a weekly episode of WWE Raw, when the faction introduced its newest member in the form of Finn Balor on June 6, 2022. This whole segment took an unexpected turn when Edge was attacked by his fellow Judgement Day members, thus kicking him out of the faction.
The Judgement Day and Edge began a high-profile conflict after Rhea and Priest betrayed The Rated-R Superstar. This feud lasted many months until coming to a close at WrestleMania 39 with a Hell in a Cell match between Finn Balor and Edge.
The WWE legend is now a member of SmackDown and was last seen in a singles competition on WWE TV during his match against Grayson Waller on July 7, 2023. It remains to be seen what the future holds for the WWE Hall of Famer.
