Fans are not too pleased with the latest ratings that NBA 2K has decided to give De’Aaron Fox in their latest game, NBA 2K24. As many of us should certainly be aware, NBA 2K is a popular basketball video game franchise that has dominated the industry for a few decades now.
Each year’s version is highly anticipated and received with a mixture of emotions and opinions. After all, it is impossible for the game creators to cater to the desires that every fan might have. However, the majority of the basketball community might just be in agreement that Fox was done wrong with the latest updated ratings. With that being said, let us take a closer look a the situation and find out more.
NBA 2K24 gives De’Aaron Fox an 89 OVR
At first glance, an 89 OVR looks quite good and would satisfy most players in the league. Be that as it may, there is no denying that De’Aaron Fox has been playing at an elite level so far this season and should have been in the early 90s, at the very least.
After all, the Kings’ point guard has been averaging an impressive 30.7 points, 4.8 rebounds and 5.8 assists. He is undoubtedly one of the fastest players in the league and uses his quickness to score in several ways.
NBA 2K24 gave Kyrie Irving a 90 OVR in their latest player ratings. The Dallas Mavericks star has been averaging 24.5 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 5.5 assists this season. It is clear that Fox has been putting up better numbers in all statistical categories. However, he has not been rated as high as Irving when one could argue that it should be even higher.

As a result, fans believe that the Sacramento Kings star is being indirectly disrespected by the NBA 2K24 game creators. Fox might not be alone since there are several underrated stars across the league that are slightly overlooked in terms of ratings.
absolute disrespect to fox

It might just be possible for Fox to take his play up a notch if this ends up motivating him. The Sacramento Kings broke a long playoff drought last season and went toe to toe in a 7-game series against the Golden State Warriors. We look forward to seeing how the team does this season.
