Cristiano Ronaldo’s godfather Fernao Barros Sousa opens up on the soccer star’s rise in soccer
Cristiano Ronaldo’s father Jose Dinis Aveiro, a gardener was a hardworking man and worked a lot to provide the necessary needs for his family. Jose was the one who made sure Cristiano enjoyed a childhood filled with soccer. He encouraged his youngest kid to follow a route that would make him one of the greatest soccer players in history while he was a kit man for the neighborhood team, Andorinha.
In the course of his soccer career, Ronaldo played for Andorinha, Nacional, and Sporting CP on the mainland. After getting through a three-day trial that would have prevented boys of less moral character, he was finally signed as a twelve-year-old.

Also, his godfather Fernao Barros Sousa opened up on his rise in soccer and the move to Nacional. He said, “When he was little, he was just like other kids, But he had something that was different from the others and that was that he played a lot of football. Even from a young age. When the other kids were studying, he put his studies on the back seat in order to play football,” regarding this rise in the sport and his will to be the best.
Cristiano Ronaldo then went on to become a soccer sensation and now is considered one of the greatest players to live to play the sport and is continuing to do so.
