While many anticipated Hamilton’s outfit for the day, he decided to pay homage to Ayrton Senna. The Brit was seen walking the paddock in a black and green jacket. The back of his jacket had Senna’s face with his helmet on. For the bottoms, he paired the beautiful jacket with similar pants with the Brazilian flag on the front of one leg.

Lewis Hamilton reveals the idea behind the Senna-inspired look
Lewis Hamilton has achieved a lot throughout his time in Formula 1. And while he has inspired many who stand on the grid right now, he too was inspired by one of the greatest. When Lewis Hamilton was in his karting days, the driver faced criticism and racism. However, he kept on moving forward as he felt inspired by his idol, Ayrton Senna.
After receiving citizenship in Brazil, the driver paid tribute to Senna. However, with his return to his beloved second home race, the driver decided to pay homage to the late Brazilian brilliance, Senna. His reason behind his Senna-inspired outfit and helmet was soon revealed.

The champion broke down his outfit as he said, “I started watching F1 with my dad when I was just four or five years old. I would come home and often put on a video of Ayrton. And I wanted to be like him. I aspired to drive the way he drove and to achieve something similar to what he achieved.”
Lewis Hamilton wanted to be an F1 driver since he was young. However, he wanted more from it. The driver chased the racing highs and his wish to achieve as much as Senna had. Little did Hamilton know that he would soon be one of the only two drivers to have won seven world championships.
However, it did not quench Hamilton’s thirst for more. With a tribute to Senna, the champion hopes to take his 104th win this weekend. Although he stands 20 points away from Sergio Perez, the driver plans to lessen the gap. After winning his 197th podium at Mexico, he will now be chasing 3 more podiums to win his 200 career podiums.
