LeBron James has been involved in plenty of incidents this year. The 4x NBA champ-led Los Angeles Lakers recently got swept in the playoffs, by the Denver Nuggets. If that wasn’t enough, King James admitted that he had to rethink his options ahead of year 21 in the NBA. This surely scared fans all over the world, as many believed one of the biggest athletes could bid goodbye.
That was not all. The Lakers struggled to make the playoffs, and eventually made it to the play-in tournament after finishing at 7th. But one of the reasons why it was so difficult could have been one of their most disappointing losses. The Lakers lost to the Boston Celtics in OT back in January, the game ended 125-121. The chief referee for that game, Eric Lewis, admitted that he missed a shooting foul.

With just 4.0 seconds left on the clock, LeBron drove to the rim for a left-handed layup, something we have witnessed him do countless times over the years. However, Celtics superstar Jayson Tatum slapped LeBron on the arm, which ended as a no-call. This just left LeBron raging, who recently questioned Eric Lewis as well.
NBA referee Eric Lewis gets questioned in light of recent revelations
Many questioned Eric Lewis’ controversial call against LeBron, but it did not end there. Recently, several Twitter users have mentioned that Lewis’ family are fans of the Boston-based franchise. To make things more interesting, a Twitter user even pointed out that Eric Lewis’ daughter apparently works in Boston.
Eric Lewis’s daughter is a pediatrician in Boston. As I’ve been saying, follow the money… @NBAOfficial @Lakers

Moreover, it has also been mentioned that Lewis’ family has tweeted and posed for images in the past, donning the Celtics uniform. In addition to that, a Twitter user has speculated that they have found Eric Lewis’ “burner account.” A Twitter account has been found defending Lewis on the platform on multiple occasions. This has reached the NBA authorities, who have been reported to investigate the matter as well.
NBA fans did some digging and found what is rumored to be referee Eric Lewis’ burner account.
The Twitter account, since deactivated, repeatedly defended officiating and often tweets mentioning Lewis 🤯

LeBron, who expressed his disappointment after that incident, even commented on the internet saga. He took to Twitter and wanted to know if it was all true.

It will be a dramatic turn of events if the NBA’s investigation reveals the speculations to be true. However, it must be noted that all of these claims have been made by fans, and there has been no official comment from Lewis, or his family until now.
