Jimmy Uso left the entire wrestling federation in a state of shock after he ditched his brother at WWE SummerSlam 2023. While many fans believed it to be a result of the fandom of Roman Reigns, others believed that the Usos should never have split up. This particular set of people was joined by a WWE veteran who claimed that Jimmy shouldn’t have betrayed his twin.
“I would rather not see Jimmy turn on Jey in the big scheme of things,” said Matt Hardy speaking on the ‘Extreme Life Of Matt Hardy‘ podcast. The Usos have been one of the most integral parts of The Bloodline and it is evident in the eyes of everyone. While the Samoan twins have stuck with each other through thick and thin, the betrayal was not taken in good spirits by many.
“I love that Jey ended up making the decision to step away from Roman and go with his brother, and just for Jimmy to come back, I mean, it’s very WWE-ish,” added Matt Hardy. WWE has had various storylines that put the tag teams under the banner of betrayal. Matt also turned against his brother Jeff Hardy and it feels that his experience spoke on the podcast.
While the WWE audience is only aware of the smaller picture, there is a lot more to the storyline that will roll out in the upcoming weeks. Matt Hardy believes that the creative may have a plan to blow away the audience with their story. Until then, a lot of people would believe that it wasn’t a great idea to split up the Fatu twins.
Jimmy Uso explains why he turned on his brother Jey Uso
WWE SummerSlam witnessed Jimmy Uso betray his blood during the Tribal Combat. Moments after, Roman Reigns was declared the winner and Jimmy silently walked off from the ringside. Without clarifying himself, he left the fans to wonder why he betrayed his brother. The reason is now out before the public after his recent appearance on WWE Friday Night SmackDown.
As Roman Reigns stepped inside the ring, Jimmy Uso joined him. Roman felt happy at a returning Jimmy Uso and offered him anything he demanded for his act. However, one-half of The Usos explained that whatever he did at SummerSlam had nothing to do with Reigns. Then Jey Uso walked out to the ring and the twins went ahead to settle the differences.
Jimmy Uso justified that he didn’t want Jey Uso to be the Tribal Chief lest he would become corrupt just like Roman Reigns is. He also expressed his love for his brother and claimed that whatever he did was out of love. However, Mr. Main event was not in a state to understand the affairs and he went on a haul to thrash everyone present in the ring including Jimmy Uso.
Eventually, Jey walked out of the WWE arena after spitting some bold phrases. “I’m out. I’m out of the Bloodline, I’m out of SmackDown, I’m out of WWE,” he said. Jimmy’s betrayal is quite personal for Mr. Main event and he’ll take time to absorb the situation. What lies ahead for The Usos is still unclear but the storyline is expected to be a massive treat for the WWE audience.
