Bray Wyatt’s passing profoundly impacted the entire professional wrestling industry. Similar to every significant occurrence, it also appears to have united the community, if only temporarily.
Wrestlers from various promotions paid tribute to Wyatt, and both WWE and AEW featured segments that ensured Bray Wyatt’s memory stayed alive in the thoughts and hearts of everyone.
In the most recent episode of the “Extreme Life of Matt Hardy” podcast, Matt Hardy addressed his late great friend and future WWE Hall of Famer, Bray Wyatt. Matt mentioned that they held the funeral service this week after a delay caused by last week’s hurricane that hit Florida.

Matt Hardy Said “We (Matt and Rebecca) got up and we ended up going to the service. I’m so happy we’re able to make it. It was postponed because of the hurricane stuff a little later, but I was really, really happy we got to make it, and man, it was tough”. (Via-WrestlingNewsSource).

Hardy shared his experience, expressing, “It was sad. It was strange. It was weird. My heart is shattered for his family. Some of them spoke and I can’t imagine the grief that they’re going through. It’s just so hard to understand how someone 36 years old dies, you know, someone that you know and who you assumed was very, very healthy. It’s just hard to understand“.
Bray Wyatt has four kids. That’s especially heart-wrenching for Hardy as two of them are very young. He can’t even begin to imagine how the younger ones, who likely don’t fully comprehend it, will be affected as they grow older. All of this is simply overwhelming.
