Boban Marjanovic is a player everybody loves to watch on the court. He is someone who can easily elevate a team on various levels, either in scoring or on defense. Unfortunately, the NBA rarely gets to see the big man play. He entered the league in 2015 after going undrafted in 2010. When you look at Boban, he is comparatively less agile when compared to other players. This is due to his height as he stands at a whopping 7″4 feet.
Throughout his career, the 35-year-old has bounced around the league. He has played for the San Antonio Spurs, Detroit Pistons, Los Angeles Clippers, Philadelphia 76ers, Dallas Mavericks, and now the Houston Rockets. Most of stints haven’t made it past two seasons. This is mainly because his abilities do not suit the fast-paced game as much. However, Marjanovic recently posted a picture of him on social media, looking insanely jacked.

He should ask John Wick for a rematch

Fans were pretty surprised to see how much effort he put into his physique this off-season. One fan said, “Wemby need to get on Boban’s workout.” Another fan commented, “He should ask John Wick for a rematch.” For context, Boban Marjanovic was featured in a film called John Wick 3: Parabellum in 2019. He starred alongside Hollywood A-lister Keanu Reaves in a fight scene that went viral.
Boban Marjanovic signed a one-year deal to return to the Rockets
Days after Boban Marjanovic posted the picture, the Houston Rockets signed him to another deal that lasts throughout the 2023-24 season. Before the start of the 2022-23 season, Boban was traded by the Mavericks to the Rockets for Trey Burke, Christian Wood, Marquese Chriss, and a few other valuable assets. By February 2023, the Rockets decided to waive Marjanovic to create cap space ahead of the trade deadline.

He was re-signed by the Rockets a few days after being waived and continued to finish the season with them. Boban averaged 3.3 points and 1.3 rebounds in 5.5 minutes per game during the season. Even though his contributions have been very less, they could possibly be greater in a better role. Either way, teams usually prefer someone like Boban to be on the roster due to his locker room presence. For the Rockets, his veteran experience and leadership will help mold the young stars.
Boban Marjanovic will start alongside a set of new teammates during the 2023-24 season. Houston acquired Patty Mills from the Brooklyn Nets in exchange for draft considerations. They also signed Jock Landale, who had an exceptional run with the Phoenix Suns. Besides signing rookies Amen Thompson and Cam Whitmore, acquiring Fred VanVleet and Dillon Brooks have to be their best signings yet. The Rockets may officially come out of their slump next season.
