Colby Covington, renowned for his wrestling and grappling skills, was engaged in a heated rivalry with Leon Edwards. The fight between them took place at UFC 296 on December 16 at the T-Mobile Arena in Nevada.

Colby added further, “That’s what Trump stands for, he stands for democracy and freedom. They’re going to do everything they can to keep us down from shadowbanning us online even if we’re saying the truth. If it’s in a judging position in a fighter or athletic sporting event they’re going to stack the deck against us to keep us down”.
Colby believed that it was a fair and square fight for him, and he should’ve won the welterweight title. He blames Donald Trump for his loss at UFC 296 against Leon Edwards. Since he is a huge supporter of Trump, the judges didn’t score for him to win the match. Moreover, he sees Trump as his hero, the symbol of freedom for the US, and mostly as a democratic leader.
Did Donald Trump leave UFC 296 early?
After Colby Covington lost his fight against Leon Edwards, it was not a delightful experience for Donald Trump to watch. Covington couldn’t stand up to his name, as it backfired since he trash-talked his opponent before the fight. Due to the aftermath of the match, Donald Trump decided to leave the stadium.
Donald Trump left the stadium early, in front of many fans. With that, Trump missed Covington’s speech. ‘Chaos’ was asked by Joe Rogan about why he didn’t take advantage of his pace and grappling in the beginning rounds. Colby said, “I had a long layoff and it has something to do with the ring rust”.
Before UFC 296, Colby Covington last fought in March 2022 against Jorge Masvidal and has been away for a year. Since he was out of action for a long time, he blames his loss against Leon Edwards on ring rust.
After the following scenario, he continued by shouting out to Donald Trump by adding, “You can delay but you can’t deny, you’re gonna make America great again, we need borders secure, we need America first again, Donald Trump is gonna do that again, Donald Trump 2024”.
However, it is not known why Donald Trump left the stadium with his bodyguards. The reason for the dismissal of the former president has yet to be disclosed. It might be possible that Donald Trump had to leave due to an emergency.
