Angel Reese played varsity basketball for four years at Saint Frances Academy in Baltimore. She participated in the McDonald’s All-American Game and guided the squad to three straight Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland (IAAM) championships, along with two conference titles.
She was a standout player for the Maryland Terrapins. As the top player in her class and a five-star recruit, Reese enrolled at the University of Maryland in 2020. She later decided that she wanted to give something different and went through the transfer portal after the Terrapins lost in the NCAA round of 16 for the second time in a row.

“I needed a fresh start,” Reese told the New York Times, discussing the move. “A coach to push me to get me to the next level.” This was the time when she decided to be transferred to LSU to play under the experienced coach Kim Mulkey.
With the LSU Tigers, Star Coach Kim Mulkey and her stand-out player Angel Reese took the team to new heights as they won their first-ever NCAA basketball title under her. Nothing could be more satisfying for Angel to win the title in her first season with her new team.
Reese is not yet prepared for the WNBA draft in 2023. To participate, players must be 22 years old or have earned a four-year university degree. Reese is anticipated to rejoin LSU for the upcoming campaign, as the Tigers are primed to win the championship once more.

Reese did not play the center position in high school, but she did play it frequently at Maryland. Mulkey gives her more liberty to go about and express herself in space at LSU. It remains to be seen how Angel performs in the new season with the LSU Tigers.
Angel Reese comes from a family of basketball players
Angel Reese is well and truly one to watch out for in Women’s basketball. The reason why she is so good of a player is because the glorious sport runs in her family. Her dad, mom, and her brother all three of them played basketball for their respective college and divisions.
Before traveling abroad to participate in Luxembourg, Reese’s mother, Angel Webb, was a basketball player at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC). This shows why her daughter Angel is such an immense talent in this sport of basketball.
