During his time at Duke, Paolo continued to impress. He grabbed the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Freshman of the Week and eventually earned first-team All-ACC honors along with the ACC Rookie of the Year title.
Banchero concluded his freshman season at Duke with averages of 17.2 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game. It was no surprise when he declared for the 2022 NBA draft, forgoing his remaining college eligibility. The impact he will have in the NBA as a rising star will be intriguing to witness.
