Damian Lillard recently discussed which player on the Miami Heat he has the most chemistry with and is looking forward to playing alongside next season. As many NBA fans should certainly be aware, Dame finally requested a trade from the Portland Trail Blazers several weeks ago and made his desire to join the Miami Heat very clear and public.
Although no such trade has materialized at the moment, it is still the public opinion that it is only a matter of time before the Blazers decide to honor Lillard’s request and trade him to the Miami Heat. After all, having an unhappy superstar on a squad full of young talent is a recipe for disaster.
Dame recently participated in a Podcast\ YouTube channel called BACKONFIGG. On it, he hinted at which player on the Miami Heat he would enjoy playing with the most. That said, let us take a closer look and find out more.
How will Bam Adebayo play alongside Damian Lillard on the Miami Heat?
While Jimmy Butler is considered the franchise cornerstone and face of the Miami Heat, there is no denying the impact and rise to NBA stardom that Bam Adebayo has experienced over the past few years. Although he is only 26 years old and just entering his prime, many NBA experts and analysts have him among the top centers in today’s NBA.
His versatility at 6’9 and advanced skillset have greatly helped the Miami Heat in their recent postseason appearances. Although Lillard never explicitly used Bam’s name, everyone present in the room knew that he was talking about Bam when asked to name the player he had the most chemistry with on the court.
“I ain’t gonna say it bro we gonna get something started here shout out to my boy whastup my boy…You know exactly who I’m talking about. What’s up with your boy.”

There appears to be no specific reason to link this to Bam. However, some NBA fans might be aware that Bam and Lillard were on the Team USA roster during the 2020 Olympics and even won the gold medal together. Therefore, he is likely to be familiar with Bam’s play as opposed to the rest of the Heat stars.
Adebayo plays the center position while Lillard plays the point guard. Therefore, a combination of the two of them executing pick and rolls as well as other in-game strategies will likely work very well for the Heat. All that is left now is for the actual trade to go through.
