Goran Dragic moved from the Miami Heat to the Toronto Raptors during the pre-season trade window. The North had to bid farewell to the Greatest Raptor of All Time, Kyle Lowry.
In exchange, the fans of the North were supposed to be fine with Goran Dragic. However, ever since the trade happened, fans knew that Masai would push for Dragic to be traded or bought out before the trade deadline.
The Raptors got the opportunity to get rid of him and now Goran has found himself playing with Kevin Durant and the Brooklyn Nets. He also voiced out his feelings about why he wanted to leave the North.
Goran Dragic did not feel accepted in Toronto
Dragic was sent to the San Antonio Spurs in exchange for Thadeus Young. The Spurs, like the Raptors, knew they did not want anything to do with someone so irresponsible and fussy that they gave him a buy-out option. This led to the Brooklyn Nets signing Dragic till the end of the 2021-2022 regular season.

James Johnson who has previously played with Dragic in Miami explained how this was a great move because Dragic is extremely competitive. The Brooklyn Nets struggled mid-season when their star players were not completely available. They added Ben Simmons to their roster and now Dragic.
Dragic got the opportunity to sit down and talk to the press about the moves and why he skipped so many games when he was supposed to represent the Raptors. His answer was extremely immature. He went on to say he did not feel accepted.

To say that he was not a part of the team is senseless. Dragic should have taken the effort to try and get along with the team. He decided to be homesick and travel to Miami to watch games instead of trying to get to know his new teammates.
If this is the case, how can one decide he won’t repeat the same thing in his new team. Dragic has not played a game since the 17th of November and is sure to be in terrible form. Hopefully, the Brooklyn Nets won’t have to rely on him too much.
