There was, in fact, no one quite like T-Mac. Tracy McGrady was once the most feared player in basketball before injuries made him one of the most heartbreaking “What If?” case studies in NBA history, despite the fact that he never made it past the first round of the playoffs, much less won a title.
These days, fans see an NBA star surpassing the magical 50-point scoring record once every other month. The 60-point threshold, which has only been attained 22 times since 2010, has been much more difficult to obtain.

One of the NBA’s most distinctive scorers, Tracy McGrady of the Orlando Magic, made history when he accomplished it in 2004. Adidas will rerelease the shoes McGrady wore during that iconic performance as a way of paying tribute to him.
McGrady scored an absurd 62 points in one game on March 10, 2004, which was an impressive accomplishment considering it happened during a time when defense was prioritized. A 60-point game hadn’t happened in four seasons, which contributed to the performance’s legend. A non-center position player scored 60 points for the first time since Jordan did so in 1993.

McGrady donned the T-MAC 3.5 during that game, a shoe that Adidas plans to rerelease in 2023 as part of its Restomod executions, which maintain the original external designs while making required inside upgrades. The original white/royal colorway of the T-MAC 3.5 will not be released until after the release of a white/royal/red variant.
Adidas T Mac 5 “13 points in 33 seconds”
A former NBA player and widely considered one of the greatest shooting guards of all time, Tracy McGrady collaborated with Adidas to create the T-Mac 5, a basketball shoe. When the T-Mac 5 was first introduced in 2004, both basketball players and sneaker lovers took notice of it.
During Tracy McGrady’s time with the Houston Rockets, one of the most incredible comebacks in sports history occurred. He scored 13 points in only 33 seconds to help the Houston Rockets defeat the San Antonio Spurs on December 9, 2004.

In 2023, Adidas will release the T-Mac 5 “13 Points In 33 Seconds” sneakers in recognition of this legendary time. The sneakers will cost $160 for each pair; however, the precise release date hasn’t been determined.
Using a black and silver color scheme with silver embellishments on the midfoot, toe, collar, tongue tag, and heel, the next Adidas T-Mac 5 maintains faithful to the original style. A strong contrast is created by the nubuck sheath around the forefoot and the black patent leather portion of the strap at the toe. The primary logo honoring the memorable moment with “13 in 33” is on the tongue tag.
A popular basketball shoe that combines fashion, comfort, and performance is the Adidas T-Mac 5. It is proof of Tracy McGrady’s legacy as one of the best NBA players ever and continues to be a well-liked option among sneaker collectors and basketball players today.
