Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors went up against the Indiana Pacers in the game on Thursday night and ended up losing against the Pacers, 125-119. Steph was having one of that nights where he would put up a 40+ points game. Things didn’t pan out as expected. Steph was pulled out of the game midway through the third quarter after he was in severe pain after he attempted to make a steal.
The Golden State Warriors was taken to the locker room and was patched with a very large ice pack on his left shoulder. Warriors reporter Kendra Andrews was at the scene after the game. The Warriors are under the impression that this will not be anything serious. It does mean a few weeks out for Curry. The Warriors will be awaiting the scans to come back to make the final assessment of the situation.
This could pose a real problem for the Warriors. With Andrew Wiggins and Klay Thompson out for them and now Stephen Curry looking to be out for a couple of weeks. The Warriors’ woes keep getting worse. Jordan Poole just signed a contract extension and has already hit a slump in his form. The Warriors are looking out of depth at the moment considering the injuries that they’ve had.
Curry had 38 points, 7 assists, and 7 rebounds for the night before he got pulled out. Steph has been crucial for the Warriors this season. He is averaging 30.0 points, 6.8 assists, and 6.6 rebounds for the Warriors. Things only get worse for the Warriors as they could be facing another play-in tournament.
What happened to Stephen Curry?
Steph Curry left the Pacers game with a left shoulder subluxation, which means a partial dislocation. The Warriors have not made an official announcement concerning the timeline of his return. However, Curry is expected to be out for at least 2 weeks for the Golde State. Curry will be back on the court in a month’s time, without needing any surgery.

Steph missed a 3-pointer and the pacers went on a fast break, Steph tried to get the ball from Jalen Smith while going up for a basket. Curry in the process ended up hurting his shoulder. He grabbed his shoulder immediately, and the Warriors called a time-out and pulled him out for the remainder of the game. The Warriors are awaiting for MRI scan to know the full length of the injury.
