Shaqir O’Neal is the youngest son of Los Angeles Lakers legend, Shaquille O’Neal. Although Shaquille is dating Hollywood actress, Annie Ilonzeh, he was once married to Shaunie Henderson. Big Diesel married Shaunie in 2002 and had 4 kids together during their marriage. Out of the four, Shaqir is their youngest child together and turned 20 a few days back on April 19.
Shaqir being the youngest child who is also working his way to one day play in the NBA is walking in his father’s footsteps. However, generally, the youngest child of any family is highly pampered and the parent’s favorite. It is the same case when it comes to Shaqir, after his mother, Shaunie posted a video collage on Instagram to wish him on his 20th birthday. However, Shaqir decided to have a little fun with his siblings.
Shaunie Henderson posted a video collage for Shaqir O’Neal on his 20th birthday
Shaunie decided to post a video collage on her Instagram account. “help me, wish my favorite youngest son a VERY HAPPY 20th Birthday! @shaqironeall I love you so much! Did I ever tell you, you’re my favorite youngest son? Because you are!” Shaunie captioned. Shaqir took note of the wishes, “fav son* thanks mom,” Shaqir commented. With that comments, the rest of the siblings must be eager to have a little fun as well.
It is exciting to see what Shareef, Amirah, and Me’arah have to say about it. Although Shaqir is the only youngest child of Shaq and Shaunie, it pretty much sums up as Shaunie saving the rest of the kids some love on Shaqir’s special day. Or it could probably be a hint at who her favorite child is without having to hurt others. Nonetheless, Shaqir is having a dig at his elder siblings on Shaunie’s Instagram post.
In order to reach the biggest stage in NBA, Shaqir is working his way through college and is playing for the Texas Southern Tigers. He plays as a forward and is in his sophomore year, and has a few years left to improve his game. This season, he has averaged 1.3 points and 0.6 assists and played in 21 games for the Tigers. Although he is averaging just 7 minutes a game, which reflects the low stats. However, there is still time for Shaqir to improve.
