Shaquille O’Neal is known for his amazing personality and caring nature. The legend always treats people with the highest respect as if they are his own. Back in 1992, Shaq entered the league and played for the Orlando Magic for a few seasons. Four years later, the Hall of Famer would sign with the Los Angeles Lakers. After shifting the LA, Shaq went on to meet Shaunie Henderson and dated for a couple of years before getting married. In 2002, Shaquille O’Neal and Shaunie made it official by tying the knot. And during this time, O’Neal was at his prime, on pace to win his third title. However, the former league MVP did not have a healthy married life. He was not entirely faithful to Shaunie.

Shaquille O’Neal regrets cheating on his ex-wife
Shaquille O’Neal has shown a lot of remorse for cheating. There were several instances where he would talk about his messy marriage. According to Yahoo, Shaq said, “You don’t know how good you got something till it’s gone. I mentioned about having a 76,000-square-foot house and nobody in there. That was all my fault. didn’t do the right thing and I definitely paid for it.”
Shaq also apparently praised Shaunie for the dedication she showed toward their marriage. “Sometimes when you live that double life, you get caught up. I’m not going to say it was her. She did exactly what she was supposed to do and gave me beautiful kids, take care of the house, take care of the corporate stuff,” he said. He concluded by taking full responsibility for the fate that he and his family had suffered through.
Even during an episode of The Big Podcast, Shaq blatantly expressed how he regrets making the decisions he did back then. Shaq had five children with Shaunie, Myles, Shareef, Shaqir, Amirah, and Me’arah. He still maintains a great relationship with his child and mentors them as well. The $400 million net-worth athlete was asked to give a huge sum to Shaunie but agreed on unknown nature. Ultimately, saving him half his money.
