Renowned NBA agent, Rich Paul, recently opened up about James Harden’s situation with the Philadelphia Sixers during his appearance on the Club Shay Shay podcast, before the 76ers approved his trade. Hosted by the former Undisputed analyst, Shannon Sharpe, the discussion provided an in-depth look into Harden’s mindset leading up to his exit.
Paul shared insights on Harden’s sentiments. “It’s a personal thing that he feels as if something was positioned for him, and it’s different. I don’t know if it’s totally basketball,” Paul said. “Because I know James loved the game of basketball. And, you know, there’s some things that probably could have took place prior.”

“You want to keep your value up. When you think about the value coming from the extension that could’ve been in @BrooklynNets to currently now, we don’t know where that is.” pic.twitter.com/oeTwmntUz4

Also, Rich Paul emphasized the importance of a player maintaining their value in the league, especially when involved in controversies. Referring to Harden’s situation of not getting a Supermax extension in Philadelphia, Paul stated, “You want to keep your value up.” It looks like Harden already knew this advice, as the Sixers traded him to the Clippers.
