The Los Angeles Lakers upset the Milwaukee Bucks once again and have won the regular season series. This time it was a double overtime thriller that had both teams fighting to keep the game alive. It was Anthony Davis and Austin Reaves who helped the Lakers close the gap and tie the Bucks by the end of regulation.

During the second overtime, Reaves was the biggest highlight. He drained a 28-footer to give LA the lead 124-121. Milwaukee scrambled to get a couple of stops but also at the cost of giving LA free throws. Ultimately, D’Angelo Russell hit the game-winning free throws, and the match ended at 128-124.

It is quite impressive how the Lakers were not allowed to lead the scoreboard at any point during the game except during the second overtime. They shot 38.9% from the field, 31.8% from the three-point arc, and 93.8% from the free throw line. Davis had a stellar performance finishing with 34 points and 23 rebounds. He also shot 3-8 from deep.

Reaves recorded a triple-double of 29 points, 14 rebounds, and 10 assists shooting 4-11 from deep. D’Angelo Russell finished with another great performance of 29 points, 7 rebounds, and 12 assists. Rui Hachimura contributed 16 points and 14 rebounds. LA’s starting lineup was responsible for the incredible victory, even without LeBron James in the picture.

The Bucks weren’t definitely not expecting the Lakers to come back in full force towards the end of the game. They gave up a 19-point lead as well. Milwaukee shot 41.2% from the field, 29.4% from deep, and 64.7% from the free throw line. Giannis Antetokounmpo also had a triple-double of 29 points, 21 rebounds, and 11 assists.

Damian Lillard had 27 points, 5 rebounds, and 8 assists during the game. Malik Beasley lit up from beyond the arc going 5-14 while scoring 21 points. Once again, Babby Portis Jr. led the bench with 18 points and 13 rebounds. The defensive efforts from the Bucks were lost during the end of the game.
