NBA fans have witnessed numerous controversies in recent months. The Miles Bridges-Mychelle Johnson incident would remain a fresh memory, mainly because of the incident. For some context, Miles allegedly abused Mychelle on multiple occasions, causing bodily harm. Mychelle accused the NBA player in a now-deleted Instagram post.
She wrote, “I hate that it has come to this but I can’t be silent anymore. I’ve allowed someone to destroy my home, abuse me in every way possible and traumatize our kids for life. I have nothing to prove to the world, but I won’t allow anyone who could do something so horrible to have no remorse and paint a picture of something I’m not.” Bridges was later arrested on domestic violence charges.

Mychelle alleged that Miles’ abuse left her with a fractured nose and wrist, which even led her to suffer a concussion. Although she didn’t mention Miles’ name in her post, the world understood that it was the individual who she was living with. After he was released on bail, which was set at $130,000 at the time.
In November 2022, the former Charlotte Hornets player pleaded no contest to the charges but was ordered to complete 52 weeks of domestic violence counseling and parenting classes, along with 100 hours of community service.

In light of the controversy, Miles has not played since the start of the 2022-23 NBA season. He remains a restricted free agent. Recently, the NBA suspended Miles for 30 games, but considering his lengthy absence of 82 games throughout the whole season, the league has mentioned that Miles will only serve 10 more games on the sidelines.

It must be noted that her Twitter account is not verified, but her bio contains the names of her children, Ace Miles and Aylä Marie. These are the only two children she has had with Miles.
