James Harden and the Los Angeles Clippers have shocked the majority of NBA fans. As many members of the basketball community should be aware, the Clippers decided to make a trade and bring over Harden from the Philadelphia 76ers.
The Beard was reportedly unhappy with Daryl Morey and his contract negotiations. Therefore, he demanded a trade in the offseason and found himself playing for the Clippers just a few games after the 2023-2024 NBA season had started.
Since Harden can be considered on the backend of his prime, many Clippers fans wondered if their team made a bad decision by adding him to their roster. The team also began a long losing streak from when Harden joined the team. However, their recent play seems to dispel some of the doubt that critics have about the potential of this team.
James Harden and the Los Angeles Clippers are on a 7 game winning streak
When Harden was initially traded to the Los Angeles Clippers, the team had to give up a lot of depth in their roster in order to acquire him. Since the Clippers already had Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, and Russell Westbrook, fans wondered how introducing another ball-dominant star would help the team. Especially in terms of doing the dirty work on the defensive end.
Thanks to the coaching and sacrifices made by the Clippers’ management and stars, the team managed to regain momentum and break their losing streak by defeating the Houston Rockets. A few games later, the Clippers faced off against the Kings towards the end of November and won that game.
