Despite Jordan Poole allegedly being on bad terms with the Golden State Warriors, Kyle Kuzma showed no hesitation in showing his admiration towards a member of the team on social media. As many NBA fans should be aware, Jordan Poole was recently traded to the Washington Wizards by the Golden State Warriors in return for Chris Paul.
The infamous physical altercation between Poole and Draymond Green is still a topic of debate and discussion among members of the basketball community today. To those who do not know, a video of Draymond viciously punching Jordan in the face at a Warriors training facility went viral at the start of last season. Many NBA experts even claimed that it played a role in the lack of success GSW experienced in their most recent postseason.
It would be quite difficult to claim that Poole is on good terms with Draymond and the rest of the Warriors following this incident and his eventual trade. Despite Kuzma knowing the background and context, he showered praise on Poole’s former teammate. With that being said, let us take a closer look and find out more.
Kyle Kuzma is impressed with Golden State Warriors’ Jonathan Kuminga
Although the Warriors have been trading away several young stars such as James Wiseman and Jordan Poole, they have still retained Jonathan Kuminga and likely believe that he will develop into a star for the team in the near future.
Kuminga is only 21 years old and is listed at 6’8. He has been playing the power forward position for GSW over the past 2 years and has averaged 9.6 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists for the team heading into Year 3. He had a chance to play big minutes for the Golden State Warriors during their preseason opener against LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers.
Jonathan made the most of the opportunity he had been given. He scored 24 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists to lead all scorers from both sides. There is no denying that his play had a positive impact on the Warriors. They managed to defeat the Lakers with a final score of 125-108. Upon watching his unexpected performance, Kuzma shared his appreciation for the improvement that Kuminga appears to have achieved.
Looks like kuminga improved!!!

While GSW fans should be quite happy to see that one of their young and upcoming stars had a good game, they also know that a preseason game means next to nothing since teams have nothing to gain or lose by playing in them. Nonetheless, we look forward to seeing what Kuminga is capable of doing for the Warriors in the remainder of the preseason games, the regular season, and hopefully the NBA playoffs.
