The New York Jets season was assumed to be in danger when star quarterback Aaron Rodgers suffered a season-ending torn Achilles tendon during the Week 1 match with the Buffalo Bills. However, recent developments have surprised the NFL community and also reignited Super Bowl hopes for the Jets.
Just a month after the unfortunate incident and subsequent surgery, Rodgers showed an amazing recovery. Before the New York Jets game against the Philadelphia Eagles, the legendary quarterback was seen effortlessly throwing a football, with no help from crutches. This impressive recovery has been credited to the cutting-edge “Speed Bridge” procedure, which looks like it accelerated Rodgers’ recovery process.
Ain’t no way. I need to see the MRI https://t.co/7pLszZ8tVj

New York Knicks star, Josh Hart, was one of the many people who were in disbelief of Rodgers’ quick recovery. Taking to platform X, Hart wrote, “Ain’t no way. I need to see the MRI”. The Jets quarterback’s rapid recovery is even more impressive if we consider his age. At 39, players who suffer such severe injuries often struggle to regain their prime form, if they return.
Aaron Rodgers suffered the same fate as Kevin Durant and Kobe Bryant
The process of recovering from a torn Achilles tendon is often long and challenging and even the best athletes require considerable time to return to form. A notable example is NBA player Kevin Durant. He missed the entire 2019-20 season after suffering an Achilles rupture during the 2019 NBA Finals. Similarly, the legendary Kobe Bryant faced an eight-month journey to recovery post tearing his Achilles tendon in 2013. Depending on the severity, a full recovery from such an injury can take anywhere between 4 and 6 months on average.
Considering this, Aaron Rodgers’ rapid progress after his Achilles tear is amazing. Although there have been many Achilles injuries in the NBA and NFL, Rodgers’ potentially early return to the field is set to rewrite recovery stories.

Even though in the absence of their star quarterback, the New York Jets have shown determination, most recently with a win against the previously undefeated Philadelphia Eagles. Securing a score of 20-14, the Jets have not only showcased their resilience but have also given hope to their fans.
The combination of Rodgers’ promising recovery and the team’s developing potential brings positivity to the Jets’ Super Bowl aspirations. As the team and fans wait for Rodgers’ comeback, the football world watches in anticipation, hoping for another successful recovery story to join the list of Durant and Bryant.
