Draymond Green never fails to run away from relevancy, and not in a good way. Things haven’t been the same with him for a while. Over the last year and a half, the 4x NBA Champion had quite a few run-ins with several players around the league. One of his victims was a former teammate of his as well. Green is currently suspended after his most recent antics on the court.
Before the start of the 2022-23 season, Jordan Poole became a victim of Draymond’s wrath. During a team practice, Poole and Green were jawing at each other. After some time, Green approached the young point guard and sucker-punched him in the face. The video was uploaded by TMZ, and Green was evidently targeting Poole with full vengeance.

After spending the 2022-23 season together, the Golden State Warriors ended up trading Poole to the Washington Wizards for Chris Paul. The Warriors and Wizards met for the first time since the off-season and Poole seemed very emotional during the Warriors’ tribute video before the game.
He was a real one for us. Key cog of the championship team.

Fans reacted to an emotional Poole saying, “Bro didn’t want to leave at all, Draymond fked it all up.” Another fan said, “He was a real one for us. Key cog of the championship team.” Some fans were not happy that Poole got traded instead of Draymond Green. The latter has been getting into a lot of trouble lately, which has affected the Warriors’ run so far.
Stephen Curry highlights facing Jordan Poole for the first time on the court since the trade
Stephen Curry and the rest of the squad were available to play against the Wizards last night. This was their first time crossing paths with Jordan Poole and the Wizards. Curry also seemed a little happy to see his former teammate as well. He said, “It was great to see him. Obviously, we have a lot of history and you know, what he brought to our team. It brought back some good memories, obviously. I’m glad the fans gave him the response they did. “
Having spent four seasons and winning a championship together, their bond reaches beyond the bounds of the sport itself. Curry added, “It was really weird playing against him, but it was fun. I hope he had enjoyed the respect and the reception that he got.”
While Draymond Green is suspended indefinitely, Jordan Poole has been playing fairly well on the Wizards roster. He is currently averaging 17.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game. Green hasn’t been producing close to what Jordan would’ve, had he been on the Warriors roster still.
