The coveted championship title is what every NBA Player aspires for. While most players find it difficult to get a team that pursues the title with equal honesty and dedication, players like Danny Green have been consistent enough to clinch the Championship ring thrice in their ongoing careers.
The 36-year-old first tasted the success of the ring during the 2014 NBA Championship with San Antonio Spurs. Next, he conquered the ring during the 2019 championship season with the Toronto Raptors and another one in the subsequent year with the LA Lakers.

The New York-born, however, recently revealed that he would sell off his Lakers ring if it ever came to that. The 3 times NBA champion reasoned that the Lakers ring could rake in the most money considering it was a national hero Kobe Bryant’s year.
“I can possibly get the most money for it. It was a bubble year. It’s a Kobe year. And you know, Lakers fans, it’s a bigger fan base throughout the nation.”
Further adding, Green opined that the San Antonio and Toronto rings are closer to his heart being the oldest and biggest ones respectively. He overtly suggested that the Raptors took good care of him.
He said, “I could probably make the most off the Lakers one. And that’s probably the one you want to keep. San Antonio is a little older, so it’s a nice ring. But it’s not as nice as Toronto. The Toronto one is ridiculous. It’s the biggest one. “Now, obviously, Canadians are special man. They treat you unbelievably. So it would be between those two. But I’ll probably keep the Toronto one and sell the L.A. one.”
In his recent “Inside the Association” episode, Green also praised Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich for being harder on him and pushing him to give his best.
How did Danny Green perform for the Lakers in 2020?
Green played a crucial supporting role in taking the Lakers to their 17th championship title. The skilled forward scored 3.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game with a point average of 8. During the NBA 2020 Finals, Green averaged 7.5 points with 2.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists.
Further, Green revealed that the 2020 Championship was the hardest to win because the Bubble restrictions placed a lot of mental and emotional strain on the players. He also recollected that the schedule was tougher because of the fewer rest days in between games.
Meanwhile, after the 2020 championship Green was traded to Philadelphia 76ers and has returned back to Cleveland for the 2023-24 season. Currently, he also runs a podcast titled “Inside the Green Room with Danny Green” where he took sides with 10-time All-Star James Harden for calling Daryl Morey a liar.
