Barack Obama was elected as the 44th President of the United States in 2009. His stint as the country’s leader lasted for two whole terms before he stepped down in 2017. He is often praised for his leadership qualities and how he helped America in various ways including health care. His stint as President resulted in some of the best times the country has been through as well.
The former president collaborated with Netflix to release a series called “Working: What We Do All Day.” This series is nothing that we have seen before as Obama himself visits different American citizens to see what they do all day at work. Ahead of the show’s release, he was interviewed and asked a series of questions related to his childhood dreams and favorite moments in life.
I had fun answering some questions about my work journey. Check it out, and then make sure to watch Working: What We Do All Day on Netflix. pic.twitter.com/yZY8NygXVD

“As a kid, I’d tell adults that my dream job was to be an architect. But, secretly I was convinced that I would be an NBA player. I had no hops,” he said after he was asked about his childhood dream. However, he revealed that his first job was at a local Baskin Robbins in Honolulu, Hawaii. He also claimed that his favorite job was being the US President. His love for basketball never seemed to fade away either.
Has Barack Obama ever played in the NBA?
Unfortunately, no, Barack Obama has never played in the NBA before. His love for the game was made very obvious as he would often use basketball or sports terms during his speeches. Obama had never participated in a Celebrity All-Star Game either. It is high time the NBA invited former Mr. President to compete and show off skills he never got to reveal to the world.
Barack Obama used to play basketball for his junior varsity and varsity high school teams. He played for Hawaii’s Punahou School located in the town in grew up in. Multiple sources claim that the former President of the United States has a basketball court built within the White House premises.
He allegedly used to play in pick-up basketball games with his associates and White House staff members. This shows that Barack was great to be around despite being at the highest position in the country.
Obama’s favorite NBA team happens to be the Chicago Bulls. He used to be a hard-core fan of the Bulls during the Michael Jordan era. When the Golden State Warriors visited the White House following a successful title run, Obama said that he felt honored to be among the players of one of the greatest teams of all time. To everyone’s surprise, he trolled the entire Warriors roster by redirecting attention to Head Coach Steve Kerr, who played for the Bulls.
