Bruce Brown, Denver Nuggets guard, ascribed and blamed his condition on Nikola Jokic following the team’s championship celebrations in Las Vegas. Brown didn’t hold back, savoring every moment of triumphing his first title. The following morning, he was still experiencing the aftermath of it. On Instagram Live, Brown made the humorous accusation that Jokic was the culprit for intoxicating him and caused his hangover.
The Denver Nuggets team, including Bruce Brown, flew to Las Vegas to celebrate their first-ever NBA title in 2023. The group was having a blast in Sin City, but it seemed like matters had got a bit out of hand.
“My goal all night was to get [Nikola Jokic] drunk. He just flipped the script… We were taking shots of some Serbian whiskey, and I was finished bro… He is different, never again.” (h/t via Twitter)

Bruce Brown had a significant impact on the postseason and undoubtedly deserved to celebrate; it’s hilarious that he laid the onus of blame on Nikola Jokic for wanting to head back home and forego partying after the Nuggets prevailed in the NBA Finals. It seems that Jokic not only stayed but also chose to have a little more fun than he had initially intended, based on Brown’s remarks.
Up until the commencement of the NBA summer, the Nuggets will likely continue to celebrate their victory. Although he has made it plain that he wants to return to the Nuggets in free agency, Bruce Brown has a busy offseason on his own.
Nikola Jokic joked around that he wanted to punch Nuggets teammate Bruce Brown
Even though he had a significant lead at the very end of Game Four of the 2023 NBA Finals, Nikola Jokic was eager to throw hands with his Nuggets fellow teammate, Bruce Brown Jr. The two-time MVP and star for the Nuggets seemed to throw up his hands in bewilderment as Brown, a former Net, prepares to shoot from behind the 3-point line off the dribble.
“When he did a step-back 3, I almost … I wanted to punch him,” Jokic said of Brown, as he had 21 points off the bench in Denver’s win to ape up 3-1 over the Heat. “But when he made it, I was so happy.”

Jokic chuckled and grinned as he slammed his towel on the ground after firing the shot. With 1:21 remaining in the fourth quarter and Denver having the upper hand (108-91), the game had concluded when that shot hit just right. Brown scored a playoff-high 21 points, owing to his 11 points in the final quarter.
However, his contributions and Aaron Gordon’s game-high 27 points supported mainstays Jamal Murray and Jokic to aid Denver climb to one victory of its first NBA championship.
