Shaquille O’Neal, the self-proclaimed “Dubstep Dad,” claims that Myles O’Neal, 26, assists in creating the live setups for DJ Diesel, his on-stage persona. “We always trade songs,” says Shaquille. “We’ve been practicing together.”
Shaq recalls exposing Myles to the art of DJing. “I remember when I just bought him his first DJ set. He’d be in a room, and I try to let my kids do everything on their own, so he’d come in, and I’d say, ‘Figure it out,’ and he’d come back with it figured out.”
Myles’ father acknowledges him as a great DJ. He says his son is exceptionally good and has observed him perform numerous times. ahead of his third annual fundraising dinner for his charitable organization, The Event, Shaquille declares, “I’m actually jealous, he’s really good.”
Shaquille chuckles and remarks, “He has that DJ hair. I don’t have the DJ hair.” He also confesses that he has hair enmity, however he stated that he’s extremely proud of him because he accomplished it the same way Shaquille did.
Myles is a fantastic DJ who, although being relatively fresh to the scene, acquired his father’s passion of music. Even Shaq doesn’t mind pumping up his son and his efforts because he thinks he will have an extensive and lucrative career in music. Even though it is the “fatherly” duty to do, The Big Aristotle genuinely believes in his abilities. The extent of it even makes him envious of him.

Recently, Shaquille O’Neal threw a performance in the alias of DJ Diesel at Lollapalooza Music Festival in Chicago. Myles delivered a DJ set at the HARD Fest in Las Vegas, the acknowledged location of The Event’s 2023 gala.
At Shaquille’s third annual fundraiser, hosted by American actor Joel McHale, Grammy Award-winning energetic country duo Dan + Shay and Anderson .Paak will perform alongside music pioneers John Legend and Jennifer Hudson on stage.

Shaquille anticipates that attendees will certainly have “a great time” and is specifically looking forward to Jennifer Hudson’s performance.

The Shaquille O’Neal Boys & Girls Club of Henry County, the building of juvenile athletic courts and fields, and other projects have gotten a boost greatly from the more than $6 million that The Event has generated so far.
