The Los Angeles Lakers took on the Cleveland Cavaliers tonight. This game gave the ‘Kid from Akron’ LeBron James the opportunity to go home tonight. This was the first game since LeBron made it to the 2nd spot in the all-time scoring list. However, his celebrations were ruined in Washington.
Today, the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Washington Wizards by 11 points. LeBron James had a triple-double of 38 points, 11 rebounds, and 12 assists. Russell Westbrook had a good game but it was DJ Augustin who was the difference for LA. He took 7 shots and made all 7 of them. 6 of those shots came from behind the arc and made it look like the Lakers fixed their shooting problem.
LeBron James and Kevin Love’s hilarious back and forth after LeBron’s poster dunk
In the 2nd quarter, with 2:41 left in the half, LeBron James drove in the paint and dunked the ball. Unfortunately, Kevin Love, LeBron’s best friend, and a former teammate got put on a poster by the King.
This was extremely hilarious because of the dynamic of their friendship. We later saw, that at the half, Kevin Love put LeBron in a headlock to get revenge.
The exchange didn’t end there. In 2 post-game press conferences, LeBron was extremely apologetic to Kevin Love. This is what he said,
“That’s not even in my all-time dunks. I’ll take it out. I didn’t mean it. K-Love I love you and I take it back. I wish I could take those 2 points back.”
Kevin Love was not accepting the Kings apology and tweeted this out after the game.
I’m not f*cking with my guy @KingJames for at least the next 48hrs!!!! ????????????

LeBron James responded to the tweet with another apology to add to this humorous and wholesome interaction between best friends.

LeBron James will be pulling off a lot of poster dunks before he retires but one thing is for sure, he’ll think twice before he dunks against Cleveland or Kevin Love.
