Draymond Green is the defensive anchor and vocal leader for the Golden State Warriors. His unique skillset and playing style fits perfectly alongside the splash brothers Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson. We are already familiar that Green wishes for a maximum contract extension with the Warriors. However, his actions during their training camp may have affected his chances greatly.
GSW is currently deep into the luxury tax and is tasked with finding out which players to keep moving forward. While Draymond may have been useful to them all this time, we should wonder whether this event will impact his future with them. It is important to know which Warriors player he got into it with. Moreover, we should also wonder which player is currently worth more to Golden State.
Draymond Green got into a physical altercation with Jordan Poole during practice
Warriors newbie Jordan Poole has made quite the name for himself over the years. He was drafted into the league in 2019 and helped GSW get back to where it was. He is considered one of the bright young stars who helped the team this NBA postseason. Moreover, his excellent shooting ability and range have earned him the name “The Third Splash Brother.”
While it’s certainly common to disagree, Draymond took things too far. According to the reports, both players had a heated verbal interaction during practice. Things got very intense and both players were chest-to-chest arguing. However, Green took it to the next level by forcefully striking Poole. This clearly shocked everyone around and both parties soon had to be separated.

NBA fans had a field day over this news and were quick to take sides. Moreover, they also wondered whether this friction will force the franchise to choose only one star heading into the future. Apparently, there was also a change in Poole’s behavior as he was on the verge of a contract extension.
Draymond Green was apologetic in aftermath of the altercation with Jordan Poole, but there was a buildup stemming from teammates noticing a change in Poole’s behavior throughout camp with the guard on the verge of securing a lucrative extension, league sources tell @YahooSports.

We know none of that would fly with Draymond who was the first to strike Poole. He later sent out an apology in an attempt to mitigate the damage both inside and outside the organization. The Warrior’s management might also potentially “discipline” Green for his behavior. One must wonder what kind of action they will take against a player who has helped them win 4 NBA titles in this decade.
