Ayesha Curry has always been associated with the NBA world. Being the wife of NBA superstar Stephen Curry comes with its share of the limelight. Ayesha has accepted this well and brought her A-game to every public event and has especially been able to deal with the negativity and criticism that comes with being an NBA player’s significant other.
Ayesha has been in some hot water after some old clips of her were found when she was a guest on the ‘Girl Chat’ segment of ‘The Real Daytime’ talk show. Some controversial comments and a gesture made by her have fans enraged on Twitter and even speculating that they may have an open marriage.
It seems that Ayesha has had enough of these comments though, because she was quite firm in her response to a comment on her Instagram post.
Are Ayesha Curry and Stephen Curry in an open marriage?
The allegations that Ayesha wants an open marriage with Steph started when an old video of her resurfaced, after being posted on a Twitter account that usually posts parodies of LeBron James. The clip showed Ayesha on the set of ‘Girl Chat’ and when an attractive man entered as part of the skit, Ayesha laughed and jokingly tried to remove her wedding ring.

This set off fans in the comment section, and one even theorized that Ayesha may be looking to have an open marriage with Steph Curry. In 2021 when Curry was chasing the all-time three-point record, the rumor came out and it was alluded that the reason Steph was struggling with shooting in the games was because he was having marital issues with Ayesha.
Ayesha in the past has made some controversial statements about wanting attention from men and being jealous of women fawning over her husband, the NBA superstar. Ayesha has, “Something that really bothers me and has honestly, given me a little bit of an insecurity is like ‘Yeah, there are all these women throwing themselves [at Steph]. The past 10 years, I don’t have any of that. It sounds weird but I have zero male attention.”

Finally, it seems Ayesha has had enough of the media invading her personal life and chose to fire back at a heckler in the comments of her Instagram post, which praised her husband for his photoshoot with GQ. Ayesha’s caption for the post was “Good gracious God almighty, my baby’s @gq photoshoot.” The heckler commented saying “But yet you still want an open relationship smh. If I were him you woulda been sent to the streets already.”
Ayesha responding publicly to the allegations for the first time wrote, “Don’t believe everything you read. Do you know how ridiculous that is? Don’t disrespect my marriage like that. Please and thank you.” Ayesha stands firm on her outlook on the subject and there have been no complaints from Steph so these rumors are just reduced to pathetic attempts to break up one of the NBA’s premier couples.
