Finally! The moment that we’ve all been waiting for. Bronny James will make his debut for the USC Trojans very soon. It has been four months since the youngster experienced a scary cardiac arrest while practicing with the Trojans. At some point, fans were convinced that the 19-year-old wouldn’t make it back to the court. Athletes who have suffered from cardiac arrests haven’t necessarily come back in full form. But there is faith that James is locked in for a spectacular debut.

Following the incident, Bronny spent a week at the hospital and was eventually discharged based on the progress he made. His father, LeBron James, and him were making frequent visits to some of the best hospitals in the country as well. The Los Angeles Lakers player would give updates on Bronny and he last mentioned that the young athlete was making good progress. Bronny attended class on campus and appeared at various Trojans events as well.
Medical professionals give Bronny James the green light to return
Even though Bronny James was released from the hospital, doctors weren’t able to specify what caused the cardiac arrest. Fans began speculating that James’ health condition was a result of taking the COVID-19 vaccination. This was a theory based on USC’s strict guidelines for students to attend programs on campus. During this time, the James family requested privacy over Bronny’s health.

Eventually, doctors were able to figure out that Bronny had a congenital heart defect. This defect usually exists from birth and can be treated in most cases. The USC Trojans star had to undergo heart surgery to fix the issue after which LeBron had revealed that he was up and about. His father claimed that he is dedicating his 21st season in the NBA to his 19-year-old son. Recently, medical experts cleared Bronny to return to the court.
Bronny James will most likely return to the court after two weeks
A James family spokesperson recently released a statement claiming that Bronny James was cleared for on-court activities. The statement said, “Bronny James is now cleared by his doctors for a full return to basketball. Bronny will have a final evaluation with USC staff this week, resume practice next week, and return to games soon after. The James family would like to express their gratitude to the incredible medical team, the entire USC community, and especially the countless friends, family, and fans for their love and support. Fight On!”

Based on what was said, Bronny James will still have two weeks of practice and evaluation before making his debut. The Trojans currently rank 5th in the PAC-12 division with a record of 5-2. Over the next two and a half weeks, USC is set to take on Long Beach State (Dec. 11) and Auburn (Dec. 17). James will most likely make his debut against Alabama State or Oregon, two games that are scheduled at the end of the month.
