Ben Simmons, an Australian NBA player, seems destined for more time on the sidelines, just as he was beginning to show signs of his former self. According to his agent Bernie Lee, an MRI indicated that Simmons has a nerve impingement in the lower left side of his back.
He has been a stellar player for the Nets when he has featured for them in the season, but due to injuries, his game time has been reduced a lot. He has been giving it all in rehab to recover in time but has been dealt blows over blows on his road to recovery.

Ben Simmons is nursing multiple injuries
Over the past few seasons, Simmons has struggled to stay fit as a result of several injuries, most involving his knees and back. Before the 2022–23 campaign, Simmons underwent a rigorous rehabilitation program after requiring numerous back surgeries.
Jacque Vaughn wouldn’t say whether Ben Simmons’ latest nerve impingement is related to the one that sidelined him last year. He again referenced the play vs. Milwaukee as where the injury occurred:

Simmons acknowledged that he returned too soon to play in the previous season, despite having undergone surgery and rehabilitation. After that, Simmons suffered a nerve impingement that halted his season in March. Although he has returned to form this season, he is still having nerve problems.
It remains to be seen when will Simmons return to the starting squad, it does not look good at present. Injuries have ruined his season already and also in the past. For a player of his talent, the NBA fans want to see him make a fitting comeback and enjoy himself on the court once again.
