One of the most memorable moments of the match was a massive dunk by Edwards. In the third quarter when the Wolves were trailing 65-66, Edwards received the ball near the three-point line and ran in for a big jump. He dunked over John Collins who was seemingly hurt. Moreover, Edwards was also hurt as he was holding his finger right after the dunk was completed.
John Collins suffered a head contusion but avoided a concussion from Anthony Edwards’ dunk
While Collins contested Edwards’ extraordinary dunk, he hurt his head and many feared it was a concussion. However, it was later confirmed that Collins suffered from a head contusion but there were no worries of a concussion.

Edwards was extremely hyped about his monstrous dunk but he said he could not react too much because he dislocated a finger. He also admitted that this was the best dunk of his career. “Hell yeah [It was the best dunk]. What you think? Hell yeah. That was better than the Toronto one, hell yeah. Because the Toronto one, everybody expected me to dunk on him. This one was crazy,” Edwards said, according to journalist Christopher Hine.

Controversy ensued when Edwards was asked for his jersey by a fan. He said that he had to give his jersey to Collins. Many thought he would do that just to rub salt in Collins’ wounds. However, that was not the case.
Anthony Edwards exchanged jerseys with Collin Sexton instead of John Collins
It was clarified that when Edwards said Collin[s] he meant Collin Sexton. Edwards and Sexton are “longtime friends”.
The Athletic’s Tony Jones claimed Edwards said Collin referring to Jazz’s point guard Collin Sexton. Jones also said that Sexton had to jersey in the locker room during the interviews so there is no “conspiracy” about it.
So to be accurate about this: Anthony Edwards exchanged jerseys with Collin Sexton. The two are longtime friends from their days of growing up in Georgia….
