Bronny James seems to be on the verge of making a complete comeback after his serious medical health scare a few months ago. As several members of the basketball community should be aware, Bronny is the eldest son of LeBron James and was expected by many to follow in the Los Angeles Lakers star’s footsteps by playing in the NBA.
However, suffering an unexpected Cardiac arrest on July 24 threw a wrench in his plans that not a single basketball fan could have seen coming. To those who do not know, Bronny ended up going through a Cardiac arrest after collapsing during college basketball practice at USC.
It has now been a long 4 months since fans saw Bronny James on the court. As uncertainty regarding his basketball future loomed in the minds of fans, we finally got to see Bronny make a return for the USC Trojans.
Considering that he is the son of LeBron James and might just turn into an NBA star, let us take a closer look at his current situation and find out more.
Bronny James has finally been cleared for practice
Suffering a Cardiac arrest is no simple matter and the odds of making a perfect comeback are quite low. Thankfully, Bronny had access to the best medical healthcare that could be provided. Although he went through heart surgery and missed several months of action, Bronny was finally spotted on the court for the USC Trojans.

Reports have revealed that James Jr. has been cleared to return to practice. However, he will have to wait a bit longer before making his return to the court for official games with his college team.
While fans would have certainly wanted to see Bronny play in a game, at least we got to see him shoot around in practice. Despite losing several months to his health crisis, Bronny’s jumper looked quite effective. This is undoubtedly good news for those who want him to make it to the NBA.
Can Bronny play through his medical complications?
Some fans might remember that Shareef O’Neal, the son of Shaquille O’Neal, also went through a similar health situation. There is no denying that his basketball career’s trajectory didn’t go as planned following his surgery. Despite being 23 years old, Shareef is yet to earn himself a legitimate roster spot in the NBA.
Thankfully, we presume that Bronny did not undergo as extensive a heart procedure when compared to Shareef’s open heart surgery. Therefore, it is certainly possible for him to completely overcome his health issues and reach his desired goals.
However, fans might have to accept that Bronny will have to play college-level basketball for a little longer than expected before finally declaring for the NBA.
