Mikey Williams, a standout high school basketball player is currently facing uncertainty regarding his future in college. The talented young athlete is currently dealing with six felony gun charges stemming from an incident near his San Diego home on March 27.
Williams had previously signed an endorsement deal with Puma in 2021. Currently, he is enrolled in classes at the University of Memphis but, he cannot participate in team activities or access team facilities until the legal matters are resolved.
The allegations against Williams are serious, as he stands accused of firing shots at a vehicle occupied by five individuals. If found guilty on all counts he may face a jail sentence of up to 28 years. Even if found guilty on one charge he could still be sentenced to at least six months in jail. The trial is set to commence in two weeks.
