Dwight Howard is a legend in the sport of basketball. The ex-NBA player was drafted in 2004 and he went on to have a spectacular career until 2022. Howard has played for several organizations throughout his stint with the NBA, namely the Orlando Magic, Charlotte Hornets, Washington Wizards, Houston Rockets, Atlanta Hawks, Philadelphia 76ers, and finally the Los Angeles Lakers.
He signed with the Taoyuan Leopards of the Taiwan-based T1 League. For the most part, Howard has had decent success overseas but is currently open to signing with the NBA again. Ever since the start of his career, the 37-year-old has been quite a likable person. But his personal life reflects quite the opposite.
The 2020 NBA Champion has been linked to a few s*xual harassment cases in the past few years. Not only that but he’s also been accused of being interested in men as well. Howard claims that these are all false narratives being circulated on social media and that he’s a straight male. Aside from these controversies, Howard is famously known for having five children with five different women.
Dwight Howard was formerly married to the WNBA’s Te’a Cooper
To start with, Dwight Howard had a messy relationship with the mother of his eldest son, Braylon. Royce Reed (the mother) was slammed with a defamation lawsuit involving Dwight which was ruled in his favor. She eventually went on to accuse him of beating Braylon. Dwight came clean about his actions and claimed that he did it to discipline Braylon. No charges were placed against Howard eventually.
His other children, Jayde, Layla, David, and Trey were all from different partners. David’s mother, Melissa Rios passed against in March 2020 after experiencing an epileptic seizure. But only his most loyal fans are aware that Dwight Howard was once married to WNBA player, Te’a Cooper. The two dated for a while before getting engaged in 2019.
Congrats to Te’a Cooper’s fiancé, Dwight Howard on winning his first championship. Also S/O to @TeaCooper2 for being the only person to experience Wubble and Bubble life. #NBAPlayoffs #WNBA pic.twitter.com/fXyzUmp9Oh

Both individuals worked out a perfect match as they played basketball professionally. They were incredibly private about their relationship except for the one time a picture from their wedding was uploaded on social media.
However, their marriage lasted for one year before they called it quits. There was a lot of speculation online when they unfollowed each other on social media. However, Cooper eventually confirmed that their relationship was done for while she was live on Instagram.
