As soon as Giannis concluded the decisive win over the Phoenix Suns in Game 6 of the 2021 NBA Finals with 50 points, 14 rebounds, and five blocks, Antetokounmpo established his status as a Milwaukee legend irrespective of how the rest of his on-court career pans out. He only enhanced his legacy this past season with another outstanding performance.
Antetokounmpo averaged 31.1 points, 11.8 rebounds, and 5.7 assists in the previous campaign. His performance helped the squad win the Eastern Conference title. Although it wasn’t enough to win him his third MVP, he is one of the few players in the league who can dominate a game both offensively and defensively, and since he is only 28 years old, he is still at the peak of his career.
“I’m a Milwaukee Buck, but most importantly I’m a winner. … If there is a better situation for me to win the Larry O’Brien I have to take that better situation.”
