Chet Holmgren made it to the headlines quite often this offseason. Especially when his workout videos with none other than Kevin Durant swirled around and amazed fans. Fans were awaiting to see Holmgren’s updates as he was recovering from an injury that led him to rest the entire rookie season. Clearly, Homgren’s height has left everyone stunned. He made his NBA debut after being the second pick by the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Despite being the potential 1st pick of the 2022 NBA Draft, his physique led the OKC Thunder to rethink yet his skills and performance won over, and he became a part of the roaster. However, due to an injury, the team decided to give me an entire season to rest and come back stronger. During this, he bonded with Durant, and this led to discussions about the two.

There are far more similarities between them, and they have mutual respect for each other. Interestingly, both of them made their debuts in the league with the same team and as 2nd picks. The two were not the first picks in their respective drafts due to a lack of muscles. Durant started his professional career in 2007, whereas Holmgren started in 2022.
During Holmgren’s debut in the Summer League, he stepped inside the court with Nike KD 7’s. He was able to get Durant’s words of appreciation for his game and kicks. Notably, Holmgren was able to have a score of 23 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists in just almost 24 minutes. His remarkable performance and 3-point shooting left fans gripped.
