Matchup: Brooklyn Nets vs Milwaukee Bucks
Date: 31st March 2022
Time: 7:30 pm ET
The number 2 seed in the Eastern Conference, Milwaukee Bucks, goes up against the eighth seed, Brooklyn Nets at the Barclays Center. It is a game where the teams’ respective standings are not reflective of their strength as both the Nets and the Bucks are considered firm contenders.
The Nets are looking to close the gap between them and automatic playoff qualification but they might have left it too late. Meanwhile, the Bucks are locked in a four-way battle for the top seed in the Eastern Conference.
Who won the last time they played?
The last time the 2 teams met at the Fiserv Forum, it was the Nets who came out on top for the first time against the Bucks this season. It was the Kyrie Irving show all around. As the All-Star guard dropped 38 points, 5 assists, and 5 rebounds in a game-winning performance.
New signings Andre Drummond and Seth Curry also worked well with Irving to give the Nets a close 126-123 win. Drummond scored 17 points on 77.8% shooting and collected 12 rebounds. Likewise, Curry scored a handy 19 points.

However, the Bucks were not outplayed at all as the result would suggest. Three players from Milwaukee scored above 25 points, Bobby Portis, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Khris Middleton. Giannis also added 14 rebounds and 6 assists to his 29 points yet the game went Brooklyn’s way. It was a fighting loss for the Bucks and certainly not a poor performance.
Brooklyn Nets vs Milwaukee Bucks prediction
The Nets and the Bucks are on similar runs of form and have won their last 7 games from 10. The Bucks are imposing themselves on teams as they rise to the top of the Conference. And Giannis almost singlehandedly willed them to victory against the Sixers. But it is the Nets who will feel more confident coming into this game.
The return of Kyrie Irving to the Barclays Center has rejuvenated them yet again. And his Barclays Center debut was not up to his standards so he will be sure to put on a show against one of his favored opponents tonight.
The Brooklyn Nets will defeat the Milwaukee Bucks and level the season series at 2-2.
