Kobe Bryant was an icon. A legend. An illuminary for the sport of basketball and general society itself. The Black Mamba inspired millions of kids and adults alike to pursue their goals and dreams, work hard, and always have the mamba mentality when approaching any situation. Kobe was a winner as we had never seen since the days of Jordan.

The Mamba was cruelly taken from us in January 2020 and the NBA world lost one of its greats and most looked up to players. Still, that pain must have been nothing compared to that felt by his wife Vanessa Bryant, and her children. Kobe’s daughter Gianna ‘Gigi’ Bryant also tragically passed on from the world in the same accident as her father three years ago.
The NBA world tries to honor Kobe and Gigi’s legacy in any way that they can. Whether that’s through the NBA named the All-Star MVP award after Kobe or the philanthropic work done by the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation, the world will make sure that Kobe and Gianna Bryant’s legacy is immortalized.
Murals of Kobe Bryant and Gigi are being painted all over the USA
One of the avenues through which general respect and admiration for Kobe and Gigi are being expressed is through murals of them being painted all over the country. The majority of these lie in Los Angeles, the hometown and city where Kobe spent the entirety of his career with the Lakers.
Vanessa Bryant has been holding down the fort for the Bryant family in a manner that her husband would surely be in awe of. She’s been a woman of steel ever since the death of her husband and child and has worked tirelessly to make sure that their legacies are honored and to help as many people in unfortunate conditions lead a better life.
She’s been Kobe’s number-one supporter since day 1 and nothing has changed since. Recently, Vanessa took a picture standing under a new Kobe and Gigi mural that was painted in Compton, and the internet is filled with sympathy and reassuring words for her. Some fans even express their thoughts on what it would be like if they were in Vanessa’s shoes, with a user saying “A woman could never recover from this.”

Kobe and Gigi’s legacies will live on through the millions of fans who idolize them and employ the Mamba Mentality every day in their life. Their family will never let them leave this world for good, and make sure that they impact everyone’s lives positively even if they can’t be here to see it.
